Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese medicine involving the insertion of solid filiform acupuncture needles into the skin at specific points on the body to achieve a therapeutic effect. No drug is injected. The needles alone create the beneficial effects of acupuncture.

Acupuncture is used to encourage natural healing, improve mood and energy, reduce or relieve pain and improve function of affected areas of the body. It is safe and effective and is often successfully used as an alternative to medications or even surgery. Relief is often obtained with acupuncture when traditional medical therapy has failed.

be prepared for  your visit

NEW PATIENTS. Please arrive 5 minutes early for your first visit as there will be additional paperwork to complete. If you do not show for your booked appointment, you will be charged in full. If you arrive late you may not be able to see your acupuncturist that day, as they run on a very tight timeline.

Your initial visit will take approximately 60 minutes depending on the complexity of your case. During this time you will be asked a series of questions about your overall health and questions about your primary areas of concern.

The Acupuncturist will review your results with you and create a treatment plan best suited to your needs. Treatments will vary widely depending on your health situation.
